E-Mail ConfigurationInstructions for Accessing Your Mail Account Remotely Using WebMail
You can access your mailbox on the Mathbox mailserver from anywhere in the world. To access the mail account over the web using WebMail:
- In the address bar of the browser type: http://mail.mathbox.com
- In the UserID field type: your e-mail address, for example: you@yourdomain.com
- In the Password field type the password for this mail account.
Please note when you access your mail using WebMail, your mail stays on our server until you open your e-mail tool, such as Outlook Express, to get your mail.
Instructions for Setting Up POP3 Accounts
Setting Up POP3 Mail Accounts on Microsoft Outlook Express:
- Open Outlook Express.
- Click on Tools.
- Click on Accounts.
- Click on the Mail tab.
- Click Add, click Mail.
- In Display Name, enter your name as you would normally print it.
- Click Next.
- Select “I already have an email address that I’d like to use” and type in the e-mail address in the text field.
- Click Next.
- My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
- In the Incoming Mail Server field, type one of the following:
mail.yourdomainname.com OR mail.mathbox.com
- In the Outgoing Mail Server field, type one of the following:
mail.yourdomainname.com OR mail.mathbox.com
- Click Next.
- In the Account Name field, type your e-mail address.
- In the Password field, type your password.
- You may or may not check the Remember Password box, it is your choice.
- Do not place a check in the box next to Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- You should be looking at the Accounts window - the Mail tab.
- Select the mail account and click on the Properties button to the right.
- Click on the Servers tab.
- Place a check mark beside My Server Requires Authentication (located at the bottom of the window).
- Click on the Settings button.
- Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) from 25 to 587.
- Click OK.
- Click Apply.
- Click OK.
- Click Close on the Internet Accounts window.
- Your mail account is now setup on Outlook Express.
Setting Up POP3 Mail Accounts on Microsoft Outlook
- Open Outlook. Click on Tools.
- Click on E-mail Accounts.
- In the E-mail Accounts window, select Add a new e-mail account.
- Click Next.
- In the Server Type window, select POP3.
- Click Next.
- In the User Information area, enter your name in the Your Name field.
- Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail Address field.
- In the Logon Information area, type your e-mail address in the User Name field.
- Type the password in the Password field.
- In the Server Information area, in the Incoming mail server (POP3) field, type one of the following:
mail.yourdomainname.com OR mail.mathbox.com
- In the Server Information area, in the Outgoing mail server (POP3) field, type one of the following:
mail.yourdomainname.com OR mail.mathbox.com
- In the Outgoing Mail Server field, type one of the following:<br>mail.yourdomainname.com OR mail.mathbox.com
- Click on the More Settings button.
- Click on the Outgoing Server tab.
- Place a check next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Click Next.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) from 25 to 587.
- Click OK
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Your mail account is now setup on Outlook.
